The Department of Psychology, in collaboration with the IQAC and the Students’ Care and Counselling Cell, organized a staff training programme on Psychological First Aid.
Mr. Jacob Challiandinga provided an in-depth understanding of Psychological First Aid (PFA) and discussed various strategies for recognizing and responding to students in distress, focusing on creating a supportive environment where students feel safe and understood.
The training also highlighted the significance of early intervention and how timely support can prevent the escalation of psychological issues. Mr. Challiandinga shared practical techniques that staff members can use to offer immediate help to students experiencing emotional or psychological challenges.
